finally! here is the full post (and it's a really long one for your viewing pleasure)! i present the h family, dear friends of mine:) i was their babysitter for years, and i still have to see them every time i go home!! they were one of the first families that let me photograph them when i was starting out so i owe them a lot. i used the images from that shoot as my beginning portfolio and look where i am now because of it:) at the bottom of this i've posted a few of the pictures from our shoot in 2007 just for kicks. check out how much they've grown up, and how my photography has changed in the past 3 years!!! if someone had told me that summer that in 3.5 years i'd have shot weddings in 3 different states, met hundreds of amazing people, discovered "my" thing, and decided to leave byu in order to do it, i may or may not have peed my pants and climbed in bed for a while. :) it's been an amazing journey. i can't wait to see what the next three years have in store for me!
anyways, here's the gorgeous h family:
rachel (the oldest beauty) had the fun idea of shadow pictures.. awesome!!!
the women:
the men:
just for fun, here are a couple of in-between shots.. hahahaha. not all images come out perfect, or are perfectly orchestrated! somehow these beauties manage to look amazing even when they're figuring it out;)
another amusing one, taylar was accidentally placed on an ant hill.. the distressed look is a combination of discomfort and forced conformity. i guess i wasn't listening when she said she was being attacked.. sorry taylar!!! while i was taking the shot i kept saying "taylar! smile!" so she was trying to.
i started laughing at the face taylar was making and so she started laughing at me laughing, and we got this great shot before the kids all jumped up and scattered!!!
and here are taylar and rachel, the girls i spent more weekends with during high school than anyone else;)
here are a few shots just for fun from one of my first shoots ever, featuring the h kids:)

Dang. You were still so good three years ago.
You have positioned these shot so well, especially the groups ones. I love all the levels - they are all interesting and pleasing to the eyeballs.
That is a great family shoot! What fabulous pictures!
