my friend kirsten is taking a floral design class and makes a bouquet every week and gives it to someone. this week she gave it to me! i was so happy:) i love getting flowers!!! she's a doll. aren't they pretty?!

for the most part, reese was not happy and so consequently i spent a lot of time trying to take her picture. as usually happens, there end up being a lot of great ones and then there's an unbalanced number of pictures:) oh well, she's adorable so it's completely acceptable, not objectionable at all:)

this morning as i walked out of my first class, i glanced out the window and it was snowing!!! today is the first day of snow this year. it literally took my breath away and i almost cried from the beauty of it- falling snow is incredible to me. i never tire of it. i don't love the snow when it sticks and is a foot deep, turns into dirty slush that i have to walk an hour in every day to school, but i never get tired of watching snow fall. ever. i don't really care if it's been snowing from september to april, although i don't really like winter, falling snow is the most amazing thing. here is a picture i snapped with my cell phone on my walk across campus. it's hard to see the snow or really appreciate it but i like the mood of this picture anyway. i have a feeling that i'm going to be 100% nostalgic about this someday. probably i'll cry.

conference

okay, i should have posted this so long ago but i got busy and forgot! dang it! these pictures are from conference weekend. i met up with my uncles james and john, and my cousin sarah. she just turned 8 and john brought her to conference for the first time! it was fun to see them and take a few pictures.

man i've been appearing on my blog a lot lately! what's up with that?!? i must have a really exciting life.

there was a line of people waiting to take pictures in front of the Christus so i couldn't get the full view... i really like how it turned out though!!!

kaity + me = rad awesome cousin shoot (preview)

yesterday i went shooting with my cousin kaity down geneva road. we didn't run away from harsh, direct sunlight and i'm happy about what happened:D usually i tremble in fear of direct sunlight. oh oh oh, kaity was a doll and let me play with her camera. all of these were taken with her camera and lenses. it was magical.

there was a question posed to socrates: "quis custodeiet iposos custodes?" or "who will watch the watchers? who will guard the guardians?" me and kaity ask "who will photograph the photographers?" we took SO MANY PICTURES.

the weather is chilly, the leaves are brilliant colors, and imogen heap music fits the mood.

i've been sick for two days, i think i'm on the mend but it's been coming and going in waves. boo.

we drove up provo canyon to squaw peak to take pictures. it's our annual tradition and this is the third year we've done it. this is the best shoot so far:) we had so much fun jumping on the mountain and laughing at each other.. we do that a lot; that's why we're fun.

best friends.. the preview

i am in LOVE with the pictures from our shoot tonight!!!!!! LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE!!! the colors were brilliant, everyone looked beautiful, and it was so much fun. this is just a preview although i've almost finished the session. i will probably post the whole thing in a day or two so check back soon. by the way, even though i'm in the pictures, i still take credit- i shot this whole session on a tripod!!!

let me introduce you to my friends.. from left to right we have ashley, me, maloree, ashlee, kirsten, janey, and amie. they are darlings. i have been blessed to know them for the past two and a half years and we have shared so much! living with them has been so wonderful, a family away from family. i wish i could describe how lovely, fun, quirky, and amazing each girl is but you wouldn't be able to appreciate them.

basically what i'm trying to say is, i love my girls:D
