as you may have noticed on this post, i have decided to re-size the pictures i post here. as much as i love the gigantic pictures, you probably can't really see them when they're that big!!! yikes! so, i will now be posting pictures with a 550 pixel width rather than 700 pixels.

keep your eyes open, brad and heather's wedding will be posted soon!!!

also, unfortunately every computer screen has a different color calibration and so you probably aren't seeing the pictures the way i want you to. PCs have a hard time with good color, usually it's really muted. if you want to really experience the great colors, check out my blog on a mac using a safari internet browser!!! that is also what they will look the most like when they are printed.

shoes

i moved to my new apartment this week and i've been trying to de-junk my stuff. i have two pairs of wonderful shoes that have been worn ragged and are disgusting and dirty. i decided it was time to retire them, but i couldn't part without a few pictures (of course). i'm sure i looked silly laying on my stomach on the cement in front of my apartment complex taking pictures of old shoes, but i really like how these came out:D

kirsten

i have a really close friend named kirsten. today she came over to visit and looked so cute i asked her if i could take her picture. then when she said yes (to my great and happy surprise!) i asked her to move her chair 2 feet to the left so that she would be in front of my blank wall. she said "ugh this picture requires effort?!" and then gave me grief through the entire shoot which lasted about 44 pictures. this is how kirsten feels about getting her picture taken:

this morning it started to rain, and then it started to snow. i was really happy because it was gorgeous, but i was irritated because of snow in mid april!! what? snow? what? so i made the best of the situation and took more tree pictures.

my day

things i did today:

- discovered fry sauce for the first time ever- it's almost good. i'm slowing starting to psychologically free myself of mayo-phobia

- resisted spending $200 i don't have on things that i don't need

- but i did buy a new memory card, 8GB!!! and i do need it.

- laughed embarrassingly hard at my cousins

- took a few pictures until the sprinklers were turned on

- worked for 4.75 hours for my internet job (i work for woogiworld.com)

- saved the day with my travel sized Tylenol

- ate food that i didn't want or need but tasted good enough to shove down my throat anyway

summer

i have so many plans for the summer.

pictures, writing, school, money, pool, sun , play, music, create, socialize, expand

love.

i feel like i literally cannot wait. my mind may implode and my face might melt from anticipation.

i don't think you understand the intensity of my need for summer to arrive.

2.5 weeks and i move to a new place with new people, i start school again after a year long respite, i will feel the sun instead of the cold wind and wet snow, i'll be in flip flops instead of haggard moccasins drenched with slush.

it is taking so long and it will happen so quickly.

that's just the nature of life i suppose.

old becomes new

i love photography! this summer i'm taking 2 workshops online. one is going to help me a lot with the technical side of photography, and the other is more about finding and expressing yourself through pictures.

i am saving my money for a Nikon D300 and Nikkor 17-55mm lens+lens hood. I am so excited i might pass out!! i can NOT wait to get my hands on those:) this summer, baby!

last night i started going through my old folders and found a few pictures worth editing that i'd overlooked. here are a few that i thought were worth blogging. enjoy!

wedding rates = simpler!

alright! i have revised my rates! the biggest change is with wedding rates. i have gone back to by the hour. i think it's pretty straight forward, a la carte style, so that you can put your own package together. of course you can still email me and ask me for a quote though!
